Grand Entrance
This is my sister Amy, she created life today, an art of gods, we get to create life, love, nurture, and cherish these tiny beings we grow inside of us. Welcome to motherhood Amy, it's our gift, and the gift we give the world. I know it was painful, but hey, if it weren't people would be having kids like we buy donut holes.
this is me, I can't look away from my new niece, can you?
This is my sister tara, she didn't have a baby today, but she has three! And they were all perfect little newborns too :)
This is Matt, how long did it take him to fall in love with his daughter?
Not very long at all

Dewberry Farm
frankenstein pumpkin
We went to Dewberry farms, played games, rode on the little train, and picked pumpkins :) We came a little too late in the year this time, so there were few pumpkins to pick from, either rotted or just plain picked already! But we were able to find a few that we liked, more pictures ahead on carving them :)Thank you Miss Diana and Houston James for coming with us!

St. Jude weekend
cash was really enjoying his bread
St Jude benefit with the Dean's. We went to support the benefit and the cook off, Brent is an amazing cook :) We also had fun just lounging, swinging and visiting the lake. They raised over $40,000 that weekend! Such generous friends.

In 2 minutes!
a bee that yuliya drew
painting today
yuliya painted, while cash drew with chalk(and ate it)This morning the moon was sleeping again.
When I picked the babies up from daycare today, I have cash about an inch from my face poised and ready to be plopped into his car seat.....and he sneezed in my face! Oh the joys of being mommy, you get a nice juicy sneeze less than an inch from your face.
On the way home, Yuliya has started an "I'm sick" routine, so she can get medicine. So I have started a, "the only cure for sick, is to sleep" routine. We are going through this today and she tells me "Momma, I'm not sleepy, my naptime is ALLL gone! I go to sleep in TWO minutes!"
What I've learned today-
Yuliya has picked up on 2 minutes is never really 2 minutes away, in fact it sometimes means never.

Cash and shoes

Up until now cash is always barefoot or in crib shoes, which are soft leather shoes (basically barefoot) He outgrew his biggest pair of crib shoes recently, so I had to put him in real shoes. When I first put them on he was shocked, I carefully balanced him into a standing position and he just looked down afraid to move. He sat down, inspected them, and tried to stand again, unsuccessfully(this is a boy who basically does a downward dog pose to stand up, so tippy toes are necessary)
I balance him back in a standing position, and the poor boy takes his first few steps like forest gump with the leg braces on! So cute! After a couple of minutes he got the hang of it and had no fear :)
Kidisms
In no particular order
Yuliya's thoughts on when she cant see the moon "it's taking a nap, its staying home sick from the sky so her can eat pancakes"
Me: "Whats your name?"
Y: Luliya George
Me:"What's my name?"
Y: "Mommy George"
Me: "Whats daddy's name?"
Y: "Daddy George"
Me: "and cash"
Y: "Cashy-ah George" (like yuliya, but cashya)
August 31-today when i picked y up from school, she said "I'm hungry, I want candy", i said "candy isnt food baby, its just a bunch of free radicals, and its bad for your body" y then replies (very bossy and matter of factly) "Its good in my mouth!"August 29th-After finishing her cereal y promptly asked for broccoli?
august 10th-"Momma, babies don't go to the dentist, only big girls. Cashy can't go because he a baby. I go, I'm a big girln momma go, you a big girl, daddy go, he big girl. Cashy can't go."

Momma, you're not sick
Last night as I was laying in bed about to fall asleep, I thought to myself....."I really hope the babies sleep until seven" Generally they wake up around 6, but I was feeling greedy with my sleep.
Fast-forward to around 4am, this must have been when the universe decided to grant my wish, b/c I suddenly found myself in the fetal position with an awful stomach ache. I manage to just stay still until I hear the babies waking up over the baby monitor...and what time is it? 7am on the dot!
As soon as I am up on my feet, I am promptly in the bathroom reenacting the exorcist . I'll spare you the gory details, but this lasted all morning, not really even sure its gone yet. I spent the morning laying on the floor, groaning, hating my stomach, and all food. Trying to calculate anything I could have eaten yesterday that would attack me like this, b/c anytime I moved, I would get sick again. The kids, Cash, 15 months, and Yuliya 3.5yrs play all around me. They are making noise(silence is BAD with kids) and no one is crying, so we are all content. Yuliya makes sure to check on me every 20 min or so and ask if I am still sick... my thoughtful girl.
At 11am I put them down for a nap and do a quick inventory of the house.
Toys everywhere(to be expected)
Water all over the front hall, absolutely zero thoughts on how that happened
3 boxes of cereal Ripped open like tiny raptors got to them, all three bags of cereal covering the kitchen table like a baby version of the casino jackpot
And a nice little hansel and gretel trail of grapes from the fridge to the kitchen table, and then back out to where I had been laying in the living room.
Lesson learned today....The kids are now old enough to play well together, semi supervised, but be prepared.

Wake up call!
One morning I heard Cash scream out in agony from a deep sleep, I run in to their room to find Yuliya in his crib. How is this possible?! This is the girl that won't even step into the tub on her own because it's "too dangerous" So one night before bed I finally convinced her to show me what she does. Even though I've seen her do it, I still can't believe she, my ever so cautious child does this. Although I am sure her main motivation is body slamming onto cash, and terrifying him out of a deep sleep, sweet sweet siblings. :)

Sister's Slave
As cash is learning to walk, and not yet confident in doing it on his own, he likes to hang onto the play shopping cart or something similar to help steady him. When Yuliya figured this out she started using her brother as her personal pedicab.

I did a sea theme for him this year. The cup cakes were fun, eating them in the grass was the best birthday idea so far! Hope you enjoy the pictures

The whales were made out of twinkies, hopefully the only time he ever has one
