Stinky Boys

So I realized a few things this weekend.

Diapers: Fanny pack? Wallet? Wait why dont these things have pockets???
On Saturday morning Cash found a penny and promptly put it in his mouth, to which I responded with my best mommy "I don't think so Mr." look. So the gentleman took it out of his mouth and tucked it safely in the front of his diaper..... that just happens once right? Uh uh, later after naptime, he was the first to wake up, so in our private only child time he was feeding me pickles(fake ones), so I took my bite, he took  his bite, then safely tucked his plastic pickles in the front of his diaper and took off to color me a picture...sweet boy.

 Stinky boys:  I have this theory that boys are just naturally stinkier than girls, it's their cross to bear, sorry guys. Yuliya is picking up on quite a lot, including my stinky boy theory. Today she told him at least 5 times that he was a "STINKY BOY!" (which is what I usually say if he is rejecting bathtime) She used it in more of a "no boys allowed" context.

Her Mother's Child:
So a very Megan/momma thing to say is "don't worry about it" that's my typical response, and especially to my children whom I am trying to break of tattling.  Today we were watching Tangled, the new Rapunzel movie. There is a part in the film where Flynn and the horse, Maximus are falling off of a cliff and Yuliya says, "don't worry about it, Don't worry about it! (turns to me) Right momma?" To which I laughed and said, "yes, don't worry about it :) everything happens for a reason"

 

Cash ended up so comfortable on the slide that he decided to start walking up it, typical rebel boy! Not even 2 yet!

 We went to the park for a little bit today, my cautious children usually aren't fans of slides but today they really took to them :) here's some pics and video

Skabetti

"I just want skabetti for dinner" This is the first time she's used that term. Usually she says spaghetti or sgetty, it amused me :)  See behind her is the stool they use when they are able to wake up before me, to turn the lights on in the kitchen and try to raid the pantry before momma catches them!

Spider Bites

Today Yuliya was on the phone with her Aunt Amy telling her all about what its like to be the ripe old age of 4. And what kind of tests they put you through at the dr. (I can't wait to see her reaction the first time she hears about a mammogram.) Anyway I found it kind of amusing when she told my sister that while she was at the Dr. "a spider bit me three times" you can hear Amy on the other end clarifying "....a spider?" "yes, a spider at the dr it bit me" and then I thought about it for second. When the nurse went to give her her shots, she asked me to lay across Yuliya's stomach and hold her hands down so she wouldn't see it coming. So to Yuliya, she was randomly feeling pain that went away as soon as we left, much like bug bites. She gave herself away with the spider bite comment, for two days my little actress limped like Tiny Tim when you asked her to do something.

Yuliya's thoughts on when she cant see the moon "it's taking a nap, its staying home sick from the sky so her can eat pancakes"

Me:"What's my name?"
Y: "Mommy George"
Me: "Whats daddy's name?"
Y: "Daddy George"
Me: "and cash"
Y: "Cashy-ah George" (like yuliya, but cashya)

August 31-today when i picked y up from school, she said "I'm hungry, I want candy", i said "candy isnt food baby, its just a bunch of free radicals, and its bad for your body" y then replies (very bossy and matter of factly) "Its good in my mouth!"August 29th-After finishing her cereal y promptly asked for broccoli?

august 10th-"Momma, babies don't go to the dentist, only big girls. Cashy can't go because he a baby. I go, I'm a big girln momma go, you a big girl, daddy go, he big girl. Cashy can't go."
