Up until now cash is always barefoot or in crib shoes, which are soft leather shoes (basically barefoot) He outgrew his biggest pair of crib shoes recently, so I had to put him in real shoes. When I first put them on he was shocked, I carefully balanced him into a standing position and he just looked down afraid to move. He sat down, inspected them, and tried to stand again, unsuccessfully(this is a boy who basically does a downward dog pose to stand up, so tippy toes are necessary)
I balance him back in a standing position, and the poor boy takes his first few steps like forest gump with the leg braces on! So cute! After a couple of minutes he got the hang of it and had no fear :)
